The event included real, personal, and sometimes funny, stories from both Gaelynn and Jenna as well as a beautiful musical performance from Gaelynn. As promised…
These are Jenna’s go to knives in her kitchen. She loves the contoured handles and the provided blade protectors. The end of both knife types are VERY sharp so do be extra careful! Only one hard bagel won the war with Jenna!

The smaller ones work great to open safety seals on bottles of meds and food!

Today is day four of five traveling to my medical world this week. Today is the first time being weighed in my chair at my internal med doctor. Today was my first day in a doctors office since the new law that says doctor offices need accessible exam tables and accessible diagnostic devices like wheel-on scales- I believe this went into effect on July 1st (?)

And yet… the large software companies can’t figure out how to put an icon in the electronic chart so staff that “room you” can actually plan out their schedule and room availability based on the patient’s mobility and disability and medical needs.

It’s 2026! We must continue to do better. Taking teachable moments every time I am in the medical world gets exhausting BUT I know it’s worth it because it hopefully leaves a positive impact on the worker to then treat the next patient better than they treated me. AND if others do the same then I too will be treated better thanks to others. We are ALL in this TOGETHER!

Btw this week I saw 6 medical providers and their support teams. This is a little higher than average but not by much. Data shared for understanding of how big of an issue access is in the medical world!!
