Above & Beyond With U is joining Michelle Lyman Pierson from the Gitchi-Gami Trail Association & the ARDC to present at the National Outdoor Recreation Conference in Duluth, Minnesota (May 11–14, 2026) at the DECC - Duluth Entertainment Convention Center! It's so great when a national conference comes to our own backyard!!

This year’s theme, Outdoor Recreation: Pathways to Restoration and Revitalization, highlights how recreation can strengthen communities, landscapes, and connections to the outdoors.

This is a great event with a track chair to use, ASL typically, and really great leaders focused on access and inclusion. The pelicans are amazing to see! Some years the accessible vault toilets are not open for the season yet and there is an accessible port a potty. The nearest known restroom that is accessible to us is the Kwik Trip by the Lake Superior Zoo. Have fun!!!

There are so many opportunities to get outside and connect with nature! Everyone Can Bird Spring Migration is coming up on May 3.

This free, bird-focused morning is planned with choice and accessibility in mind. Meet us at Chambers Grove Park at 9:30 a.m. or park at one of two shuttle locations.
