Owasippe trail users may be excited to hear that Owasippe Scout Reservation is hosting "Reneker's Singletrack Summer" - an additional 14 days of OSR Trail access from the south end of the property at Camp Reneker as a part of the Family Camp Program.

Owasippe public trail use for Mountain Biking, Hiking, and Horseback Riding formally close at dusk on June 7th in preparation for Owasippe's Summer Operations, but from June 15th-29th riders will have the chance to hit the trails as a part of Camp Reneker’s summer programing.

This summer, book a nightly or week-long rental for one of Reneker’s 40 cabins and enjoy dawn-to-dusk trail time, a dip in the pool after a long ride, a game of sand volleyball, and relaxing around the fire ring.

Each cabin rental can host four participants. Cabins include a kitchenette, couch, table, and two bunk beds. Owasippe’s camping cabins are all bring-your-own-bedding (twin mattresses). There are two central bathroom and shower facilities (with single person rooms).

This is a perfect opportunity to gather some friends for a summer getaway and your last chance to hit the Owasippe Trails until the fall.

Reneker is known for its Family Camp Program. Bring along the whole family and enjoy countless activities led by our summer program staff. While adults hit the trails with friends, kids can participate in 9am-12pm week long programs or sign up for various daily afternoon adventures from 2-5pm. There are High Adventure opportunities that are fun for the whole family, like River Canoeing, Climbing, Zip Lining, and more! Staff guided hikes, stargazing, crafts, games, and fishing are not to be overlooked.

Annual pass holders will receive a 15% discount on any reservation.

Pre-registration is required. Additional paperwork is required for cabin rental and summer programs (OSR is a Scouting America operated camp, and all participants on property must follow BSA and Michigan youth camping guidelines).

Sign up takes place via ‘Blackpug’ - a Scout Camp registration system.
