Leonard Falcone was an influential mentor to Blue Lake’s founder Fritz Stansell, an early supporter of the camp, and one of Blue Lake’s most influential conductors during the early years. Leonard Falcone is the person who put Michigan State onto the map when it comes to college band programs.

He established the standard and quality that we come to expect from MSU bands, spending four decades turning our music programs into some of the best in the nation.

Along with the version of our fight song that is played at parades and longer breaks during football and hockey games, Falcone also arranged the current version of "Shadows."

A heartfelt thank you to our guests who joined us at Blue Lake’s Rose Theater Fundraiser for The Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company’s Romeo and Juliet! We are grateful to those who came out to enjoy the performance and support efforts to preserve Blue Lake’s unique performance venue. Together, your support helped us raise over $4,000 for maintenance needs for The Rose Theater.

A special thank you to the talented cast, crew, and production staff for bringing this timeless story to life!
