IT MAY BE HOT OUTSIDE BUT HELP SCCAP COOL DOWN!!

Every day, our food pantry opens its doors to neighbors in the Magic Valley who are struggling to put meals on the table. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, we've been able to provide fresh produce, dairy, and meats - but lately, we've faced a challenge that's limiting how much we can give. Our current freezer space is too small to store all the donations we receive. This means we sometimes have to turn away perfectly good food simply because we can't keep it cold. That's why we're launching our "Cold for the Community" Capital Campaign - to raise $ 95,000 for a new commercial freezer system that can hold 50,000 pounds of frozen food at a time! With this upgrade, we can:

Store three times more frozen food
Accept larger donations from local farms and grocery stores
Ensure families have access to nutritious meals year-round
Your gift will make a lasting difference. A contribution of $100 helps us store over 50,000 pounds of frozen food - enough to feed multiple families a week. Please consider making a one-time or monthly gift today.

Together, we can make sure no good food goes to waste and no family goes hungry.

Last year, South Central Community Action gave out over 45,000 food boxes equally over 790,214 lbs. of food. With your help, we can keep feeding our community and keep your dollars in our local communities.

Every dollar helps us meet our goal! You can donate at our website at the link below or for more information contact Karen Pearson at 208-733-9351 Ext 117, Joni Henke at Ext 103 or Rosanna Campbell at Ext 110.

When great minds come together magic happens. South Central Community Action Partnership understands that building Partnerships is the key to building stronger communities.

We have been busy over the last couple of months having meetings with the Salvation Army as we get ready to launch our Christmas in July Bell ringing campaign in Jerome and Mini-Casia counties, Self Help Housing Industry Leaders at the RCAC convening, collaborating with Neighbor works Pocatello as they begin their own Mutual Self-Help Housing Program, and meeting with the Fairfield community Food Bank and Senior Center to continue building stronger partnerships and resources in their communities.

SCCAP is here to Build Bridges in order to make the communities in Magic Valley stronger and to advocate for solutions for affordable housing and hunger in Idaho.
