Good Morning, Good Afternoon, and Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen!

Many of you may have heard of, or are familiar with, the non-profit Twon9nesnaps (AKA 29snaps). I’ve taken the time to read through the rules, and I believe this post aligns with the guidelines. After all, it’s all about building community!

I’d like to invite everyone to join our Discord server, which brings together members of the military, past and present, along with a few civilians who love and support our community. My goal is to build on the camaraderie we all miss, creating a space where we can share resources, build positive and unforgettable memories, and hopefully host events and fundraisers that bring us even closer.

I’ve lost too many brothers and sisters—whether to combat, su***de, my own mistakes, or life’s unfortunate events. I want to be part of the solution to end this cycle and provide the support that so many of us need.

What does the server offer?

Well, the best way to find out is by joining, but for those who like a little information beforehand, here’s a glimpse:

Entertainment of all kinds – from gaming to movies, there's something for everyone.

IGYS chat – for when you just need to vent to a brother or sister who understands.

Business promotion – share your ventures and support fellow veterans.

Hobbies (like books, gaming, FPV, 3D printing, and more)

State tabs – connect with members local to you who are looking for others with the same disgruntled yet motivated spirit.

A true community space – for those of us who miss the military camaraderie, sh*t-talking, dark humor, and shared experiences.

There’s much more on the server, and even more to come. We’re open to suggestions as we build this community, so don’t hesitate to share your ideas.

Our journey to serve our nation's heroes has never been more critical. At Twon9nesnaps (T9S), we're on a mission to end veteran homelessness and combat the heartbreaking issue of veteran su***des.

T9S is dedicated to ensuring that every veteran has a home, and that no hero loses their battle to despair. We offer a comprehensive network of services, from housing and employment support to peer-to-peer assistance.

Our approach includes educating veterans about the resources available to them, providing treatment for conditions like PTSD and TBI outside of the VA system, planning/hosting fundraising events to raise awareness, and advocating for veterans' rights.

We've been somewhat inactive on Snapchat and social media, primarily due to my personal involvement in Ukraine. However, it's now more vital than ever to rebrand and rebuild T9S. We need active and continuous donors, sponsors, grants, and community support to fulfill our mission.

As many of you may be aware our Website suffered a server error some time back which caused a lot of the images and information to be corrupted or reverted to out of date information. Since then it has been being redesigned and made ready for redevelopment.

What you are about to read comes from a message to a fellow veteran. It seemed to have helped them, So i added more and made some changes. I hope it can help more of you.

"I don't think I'll ever feel comfortable as a civilian. And THAT Is what I'm comfortable with. I like right where I'm at knowing I'm different and for a reason."

We will never ever be a civilian again and that is what we as veterans need to understand. The more we try and argue with that, and try and become a civilian the more we will screw up and the more outcasted we will become. We gave up the title of civilian once we swore in at MEPs and graduated from or training. And earned an even better one called service member and then after service the honorable(majority of the time) title of Veteran. More than 98% of the U.S. adult population will never earn that title. Less than 1% volunteer into the military today. Of that percentage, .01% of us join the Marine Corps. Once you can accept that you are different, rare, and stronger/more committed than most, and can be comfortable with that, is when you can finally "fit in".

Everyone is different and everyone has their paths of life. In order to "fit in" you need to be you, first off. Second, you got to be around those who are either like you, or at least accept you. The only changes you need to make are the healthy ones that YOU want to change. Granted, if you have piers around you that care and say you are going down a path or mention a concern that should be changed then I'd take it into consideration and address it. Constructive criticism is the only criticism that I believe one should take. If it doesn't benefit you or your purpose then move on. Same goes for your words and actions towards others, if it does not benefit or promote the wellbeing of another, then maybe that action should not be acted upon.

These are just my opinions and what I have processed since being out of the military. My walk with God as an ordained Reverend, helping other Veterans, and just even receiving help from others. I hope that this can help others, even in the slightest.
