Attention to everyone. Whispering Sands Sanctuary is preparing to receive more rescues from East Texas kill pen. These four plus a baby are coming from there to here in California. As you can see, they are malnourished (probably worse than these pictures) and they may or may not have other issues. We won’t know until they arrive.
We really strive to do the best they need and provide them with a chance at a good life. The last one pictured is possibly pregnant but we are not sure yet.
We provide the best care possible and get them back to a healthy weight and treat any and all other medical issues.
The bail money is already paid out and they have been moved to a safe place.
We are trying to raise funds for the transport for them. Each horse is $750 to be transported by a private horse shipper. That’s is nearly $4,000 to get them all here to California.
If you have it in you and your budget, please consider donating to their rescue. Let’s give these babies a chance to live a wonderful and healthy life.

Today, we welcomed a group of approximately 15 students and staff from Copper Mountain College to participate in our Equine Therapy Program. It was truly a magical day and an amazing experience for all.
This was a great experience for us to gain feedback on our program so that it may be perfected in the future. I look forward to working with the College in the coming years to expand the program and reach more individuals who are in need of this magical healing process.

We are on our next rescue mission later this week. This time, AZ to pick up this sweet girl. Luckily, she was not loaded on the death truck tonight so that we can save her. If anyone has it in their heart to help her with the bail money and expenses, please let me or Valissity know. We can accept Venmo, Zelle and PayPal.
We need to raise $600 to make this rescue happen. She has no momma anymore and is just a baby. Let’s make this happen!
The pictures with all the horses are babies who now no longer have their mommas and are all at risk for slaughter.
We can’t save them all but we do our best with our donors and our own money.

After a very long journey, over 1,500 miles, the three rescue horses have arrived.
Two of the three had already been transported to Mexico to be slaughtered. Fortunately, they were able to get them back across the border into Texas. They were THAT CLOSE to being slaughtered.
Now, the healing begins. One is not too severely traumatized and he should be a great horse once he is healthy again.
The two mares are terrified and have endured abuse by people and just overall circumstances. They will take time to heal and trust a human.
They will need to be treated for health issues and weight gain.
I will be posting updates at least twice a week for everyone to see their progress.

Everyone please help if you can. There are several horses in Texas that are in dyer condition and we are transporting them back to California next week. These horses will need medical attention and much more.
Our hope is that they will all survive the trip here. If we don’t save them, then they will be transported to a slaughter house. There is several and my friends are doing the drive, I’m staying back to prepare for their arrival.
The white horse pictured died yesterday morning. We are trying to transport five horses.
