Last week celebrated the groundbreaking on The Salvation Army Orange County’s CARI Research Center at the Center of Hope in Anaheim—a major step forward in addressing homelessness through innovation, wellness, research, and compassionate care.

Thank you to our partners, donors, sponsors, city officials, community leaders, supporters, and dedicated staff who helped make this milestone possible. Together, we are building a future where hope, dignity, opportunity, and innovation create lasting impact for Orange County.

The CARI Center will expand support for shelter residents through dedicated case management, a 300-seat community space, a health and wellness urgent care center by Families Together OC, with support from the Samueli Innovation Hub, a first-of-its-kind space dedicated to advancing solutions for homelessness and community well-being.

Today marked the beginning of a monumental new chapter of change for homelessness in Orange County. 🧡

We proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of The Salvation Army Orange County's CARI Research Center at the Center of Hope in Anaheim—a visionary investment in innovation, wellness, and compassionate care.

This short video captures just a glimpse of the wonderful, successful, and inspiring event we celebrated today. We are deeply grateful to our partners, donors, supporters, city officials, staff, community leaders, and everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone.

This groundbreaking represents much more than a new building. The CARI Center will provide dedicated case management services for shelter residents, a 300-seat multipurpose gathering space, a health and wellness urgent care center thanks to Families Together OC, and the groundbreaking Samueli Innovation Hub—the first-of-its-kind research and program innovation space designed to advance solutions for homelessness and community well-being.

Together, we're building a future where hope, dignity, and opportunity are accessible to all.

🍩 Happy National Donut Day from The Salvation Army Orange County!

National Donut Day is more than a celebration of a favorite treat—it's a tribute to the brave Salvation Army volunteers known as the "Donut Lassies." During World War I, they served fresh donuts and offered comfort and encouragement to soldiers on the front lines, creating a tradition of compassion that continues more than a century later.

Today, our team honored that legacy by delivering donuts to local Orange County first responders as a way of saying thank you for their service, sacrifice, and commitment to our community. ❤️
