At Rescued by Jesus VBS, kids will discover that Jesus rescues us through the storms of life just as He did during Bible times. Through Bible lessons, team-building games, fun crafts, and tasty treats, children will learn that Jesus is our ultimate rescuer. For Christians, never giving up is the ultimate expression of trust, inner growth, and perseverance. It represents relying on God's timing, knowing that He is working things behind the scenes, and His timing is not always ours. Struggles aren't necessarily for punishment. They can grow us closer to God if we let them; they can help strengthen our faith. Surrendering what God has allowed in your life to Him allows you to rely on His strength to get you through rather than using your own limited strength and feeling defeated.

Prayer is a process of internal transformation rather than a way to bend God's will to ours. It is a relationship that transforms what we desire to what God wants for our lives. It requires trust that God sees the bigger picture, and we can be at peace with whatever response God gives to our prayer. It is an active choice to surrender control and be okay with God's will being done (Luke 22:42). Prayer ought to draw us closer to God and embrace His plan!

God doesn't cause us to fear. When we do feel fearful, unsure, shy, or cowardly, this verse encourages us to approach life with courage, love, and a clear mind. With Christ and His Word, we are equipped to face hardships and boldly share our faith with others. It's not our own strength or willpower that will get us through.

He is the source (the life) of abundant spiritual life here on earth and eternal life in heaven. There is no other way for salvation or reconciliation with God except through Jesus. Here are 3 simples ways to put action to your faith today:
1. Stillness: Spend the first 5 minutes of your day in prayer before going on social media.
2. Study: Read a chapter of Psalms or Proverbs today.
3. Service: Buy a drink for the person behind you in line or do something nice for someone.
If you start doing things like this consistently in your life, over time they will become a part of your routine.
