Special Olympics Southern California - Orange County Community

Special Olympics Southern California - Orange County Community Welcome to Special Olympics in Orange County. Special Olympics Orange County is changing lives through the power of sports.

Our goal is to keep you connected to the athletes, competitions, volunteer opportunities and fundraising events we hold during the year. Through coaching, learning the value of teamwork, and experiencing competition, our athletes with intellectual disabilities are gaining important life lessons that enhance confidence and self-esteem. According to research, our athletes are five times more likely to hold a job than their peers who are not in Special Olympics.

Being a coach with Special Olympics is more than just sports, it’s about changing lives. Every coach helps create opportunities that extend beyond practices and competitions. Coaches help athletes build confidence, make friends, develop leadership skills, and discover what’s possible when someone believes in them.
