Did you know? Illinois' first radio station began right here in Tuscola!

In 1921, an experimental station began broadcasting grain market reports from Tuscola, helping local farmers receive timely market information. That station became WDZ, Illinois' first radio station and one of the nation's earliest broadcasters.

We're proud to be home to a remarkable piece of Illinois history!
