UA Revive Progress Association

UA Revive Progress Association Revive Progress Association is a proactive organization demonstrating educational and political activism in society. Change is not enough though.

The Revive Progress Association is an organization centered around the truth that action is the only sure way to bring about a change. We must also be sure that the changes we make are progressive. Progress by definition is moving forward towards a destination. True enough, a perfect utopian society is only a dream, but striving to bring the world to a state where it is as close as possible to tha

t is certainly not a vain pursuit. This is what this organization stands upon. We will vigorously work to improve education for the younger portion of our generation. We will be partnering with the principal of local Central High School in order to aid in their process of getting off of the Alabama Department of Education's Failing Schools List. This will be a two year process. We will be working with community leaders and giving our support in any way we can to help bring a halt to apathy surrounding issues in the community and in society as a whole. These issues include matters such as social separation and misunderstanding, participation in the political process, and community uplift. This will be a great opportunity for UA students who are studying education, social and behavioral sciences, or any other major that relates to the types of service projects that we will be conducting. As of now we are working with Central High School and the Alabama Voter Education and Registration Alliance. Join us in our efforts. We believe we can change the world. We'll start with Tuscaloosa.

Hey I hope everyone is having a great summer and is ready to have an even better semester. With the semester approaching rapidly we will looking to fill officers positions here fairly soon. If you would like an opportunity to serve your peers and enhance your professional skills by becoming an officer. Please email me [email protected] a copy of your resume. If you don't have one on hand please just email me your name, classification, and major. Like this post as well if you plan to apply for a position. Also don't be afraid to apply for a position because of time. We are all full-time college students and many of us have jobs so I know time is an issue but if we truly work together being on the eboard won't be as time consuming as you might think. We will do everything as a "TEAM"...
Together Everyone Achieves More.
If you know anyone else that might want to be involve with RPA please have them to contact me 205-718-9328. Thank you for time and interest.

Thanks

Preceding the last major election, we registered 800 voters in the Tuscaloosa area. We also passed out ballots before election day. We worked along side the ADC in Tuscaloosa to see progress in the area, but there is much more to be done. We're calling on the people who know Tuscaloosa best to give us insight. Join us to see what more needs to be done in this wonderful city.

The mentor and her student agree: The Success Prep Academy at Oak Hill School benefits both.
