A special thank you to the University of Alabama Press for their donations and to Ernest & Hadley Booksellers for hosting our sale! So many wonderful books have now found new homes.

Volunteers needed this Saturday!

We have a few volunteer spots remaining for this Saturday's Book Sale. We need help with setup, break down, and keeping the area nice and tidy for our guests. Lunch, drinks, and shade provided.

Thank you to Hale County 4-H for your support!

We are building lives through literacy!

Help us spread the joy of reading!

The Hale County 4-H Youth Council is hosting a Book Drive to support the Literacy Council of West Alabama and their mission to improve literacy for people of all ages.

We are asking 4-H members and our community to donate gently used books that will be placed in Little Libraries throughout West Alabama.

Thank you to Tuscaloosa County 4-H!

We truly appreciate your support in building lives through literacy in West Alabama!

We are asking community members to join active 4-H Families in collecting books for the Literacy Council of West Alabama to help stock their "Little Libraries" around West Alabama.

4-H'ers can bring books to meetings this fall or drop by the Tuscaloosa County - Alabama Extension office in Midtown.

The BOOK DRIVE continues!

There are nine more days left to drop off books! All books donated during the drive will be donated to Community Soup Bowl, Sowing Seeds of Hope, and little libraries across the area.

To reach our goal of supporting these two organizations we still need about 200 more middle grade children's books. If you would like to donate, bring your books to our office located upstairs in the Ernest & Hadley Brickhouse (the used books building).
