Along with these funds, we also receive donations which are tax-deductible, redemptions and adoption fees. Our mission is to provide resources, programs, and information needed to build a more humane community that values animals and promotes compassion and kindness towards them, embraces responsible pet ownership, and promotes the animal/human bond. Our vision is to inspire community involvement

in animal welfare and motivate the public to embrace responsible lifelong pet ownership. This page is solely run by the director and managers of Metro Animal Shelter. We are still looking for Volunteers for Spa Day this coming Wednesday! We partner with Barks & Bubbles Pet Grooming and Boarding and hot Hot-Paws Mobile Grooming once a month to get all the pups fresh and clean! We are still looking for people for the 8-10:30 shift, and the 10-12:30 shift. Please email us at [email protected] if you would like to be a part of this wonderful day!

Meet Ravi đź’™
Ravi is a happy-go-lucky, well-mannered 2-year-old pup at TMAS who helps us temperament test dogs for our playgroup days. He’s super playful but also gives space to dogs who may need a little time to warm up. Ravi listens to other dogs’ cues and responds accordingly — he’s truly a sweet and thoughtful boy.

Unfortunately, Ravi often gets overlooked by adopters because he is heartworm positive, and we would love to help get him on his way to being heartworm negative. His first round of heartworm treatment will cost approximately $400, and we are looking for anyone who may be interested in helping us get him started!
