AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM TABCC LEADERSHIP

Our Sincere Apologies for the Cancellation of Our October 22 Members Meeting

To our valued members, supporters, community partners, and friends:

On behalf of the Tuscaloosa Area Black Chamber of Commerce (TABCC), I extend my sincerest apologies for the unexpected cancellation of our October 22 Monthly Members Meeting, Building Sustainability & Growth.

I recognize that many of you made arrangements to attend, adjusted your schedules, and looked forward to the opportunity to engage with our featured presenters, Geno Gardner and Johnathan Carter of JPMorganChase. Your time is valuable, and I deeply regret any inconvenience, disappointment, or disruption this cancellation may have caused.

Unfortunately, circumstances beyond our control arose involving arrangements that were essential to hosting the meeting. Despite our intentions and efforts to deliver another meaningful professional development opportunity, we were placed in a position where proceeding as planned was no longer feasible.

While I will not publicly address the details surrounding those circumstances, please know that this decision was neither made lightly nor reflective of the commitment we have to our members and the communities we serve.

As President/CEO, I take seriously the responsibility of protecting the integrity of this organization, honoring the trust you place in our leadership, and ensuring that TABCC's programs and activities are conducted in a professional and responsible manner.

Our mission remains unchanged. We are committed to creating meaningful connections, strengthening businesses, expanding opportunities, and building a more sustainable economic future for West Alabama.

I am especially grateful to Geno Gardner and Johnathan Carter for their willingness to share their expertise with our business community. We hope to revisit this important conversation at a future date.

To everyone who continues to believe in and support TABCC, thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued confidence in our work.

Sometimes circumstances require us to make difficult decisions, but they do not diminish our purpose or our determination to move forward.
