❤️🐾 ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL TRANSPORT! 🐾❤️

Last week, we watched another big group of our precious dogs and cats head north to the New England area to begin the next chapter of their lives! 🐶🐱🚐

Transport day is always exciting, but it also reminds us just how many people it takes to get each animal from rescued to HOME. We could never do this without an incredible team working behind the scenes.

A HUGE thank you to our fosters, photographers, transporters, veterinarians and their staff, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who helped rescue, love, care for, and prepare these animals for their journey. Every single person plays a part in making these happy endings possible. ❤️

And a very special thank you to our ADOPTERS! Thank you for choosing a rescue pet, opening your homes and hearts, and making one of our animals a permanent part of your family. There is truly nothing better than seeing a pet who once needed us finally HOME. 🏡🐾

Of course, our work doesn’t stop here. We still have MANY wonderful pets searching for their forever homes! 🐾 Buzz & Twix are still waiting… 🐾

Buzz, our handsome Bombay boy, and Twix, our beautiful little calico girl, are a bonded pair who have been patiently waiting for a family to call their own. They love each other and we’d love to see them stay together.

We’re hoping to find them a wonderful local Alabama home where they can be cherished for the rest of their lives.

🎉 Another Successful Transport… and Another Group of Lives Changed Forever! ❤️🐾

Last Friday, another wonderful group of Paws of Dixie Animal Rescue pets safely arrived up north and are now beginning the next chapter of their lives—with families they can finally call their own. Seeing these happy faces in their forever homes is exactly why we do what we do.

None of this would be possible without the incredible village that stands behind our rescue. Thank you to our fosters who open their homes and hearts, our transporters who safely carry these precious passengers hundreds of miles, our amazing photographer who captures the beautiful photos that help our pets get noticed, our veterinarians and their staff, our volunteers, our donors, our supporters, and everyone who shares our posts and cheers us on. Every single person plays an important role in these happy endings.

Most of all, thank you to the amazing adopters who chose to open their hearts and homes to one of our rescue pets. You have given them what they’ve always deserved—a lifetime of love, safety, and belonging.

Every adoption creates room for us to save another life, and because of all of you, we can say “yes” to the next animal in need.

Congratulations to all of our newest families, and thank you for believing in rescue. We couldn’t do this without each and every one of you. ❤️🐶🐱

💔One of our own needs your help

Many of you know Destin, our incredible veterinary assistant, who has been there for our rescue animals time and time again. Now it’s our turn to be there for her.

Her sweet dog, Koda was bitten by a venomous snake and has already made two trips to the emergency vet. He’s currently hospitalized with his daytime veterinarian and may have to return to Emergi-Pet again tonight.

To make matters even more difficult, Koda suffered a reaction to the antivenom and required additional medications and treatments. Even after antivenom is given, dogs often need continued monitoring because the effects of snake venom can continue for hours or even days.

The veterinary bills are climbing quickly, and we’re hoping to raise at least $700 more to help ease the financial burden. We all appreciate the donations we have received so far.🙏🏼
