Why Small Steps

The name chosen for our ministry was inspired by the Holy Spirit over a decade ago. It is derived from two aspects of my life, two of my passions, one being my walk with my Lord and the other being America’s space program and it’s quest for the Moon.

From the age of twelve, man’s quest to venture out beyond the bonds of this Earth has intrigued me to want to be part. That was my goal, just ask anyone who knows me. I dreamed of one day being given my astronaut wings. I dreamed of walking along the Moon’s Descartes Highlands. I dreamed of one day making my giant leap for mankind.

Then one day as I was seeking to fulfill this dream, a still small voice began to whisper “Come walk with me”. My friends, please see, that as I began to walk with Him, I realize that I had a purpose and a goal in my life that God set in motion long ago when everything was new. The book of proverbs tells us that many are the plans in a man’s heart but it is the Lord‘s purpose that will stand.

While I am still intrigued by all things associated with man’s journey into space, seeking God’s grace is now my mission and quest.

you see those wings that I sought where honorable, yet they are perishable, traversing Descartes would be treasurable, but traversing Heaven will be even more so. More importantly as we grow spiritually, sometimes small steps are more sure than giant leaps.
