📣 BISON Volunteers Needed! 📣

The Moundville Native American Festival is October 1–3, 2026, and the festival needs volunteers! Volunteers can help with vendors, demonstrators, parking, trash collection, children’s programming, informational services, and the museum.

🕘 Shifts: Morning, afternoon, or full day
📍 Moundville Archaeological Park
👕 Volunteers receive FREE festival admission + a festival T-shirt! Full-day volunteers also receive free lunch.

Festival Hours
• Thursday: 9 AM–3 PM
• Friday & Saturday: 9 AM–4 PM
• Volunteer check-in: 8 AM

🚌 Transportation: UA Transportation will provide rides from the Bus Hub to the festival from 8 AM–4 PM Thursday & Friday. Transportation is available to all UA students!

This Spring 2026 semester we had one graduate, Aiden Sanders!

Aiden double majored in Political Science and History. He also completed a minor in Ethics with a Legal History concentration. He is a citizen of the Catawba Nation. His favorite memories with BISON and UA were playing stickball, volunteering at Moundville Archaeological Park, and making frybread. He enjoyed his time at UA and with BISON. After his government internships this upcoming fall, he hopes to go to law school!

Congrats Aiden! We’ll miss you, but we’re excited to see what’s in store for you in the future!

BISON will be joining Dr. Kopelson's Native American Studies class for a lecture by Mr. Michael Billie and a game of stickball NEXT TUESDAY, March 31st!
The lecture will be in Ten Hoor Hall, and the game will follow.
We'll see you there!
