This June UAYAF had the honor of traveling with other YAF students from across the nation and Allen West to Normandy, France for the 82nd anniversary of D-Day.

It was sobering to walk across the shores of these battlefields and consider the true costs of our freedom.

UA Young Americans for Freedom is deeply concerned about the continued use of Charles Mills’ “The Racial Contract” by UA classes as required course materials in Terry Hughston’s course, as reported by 1819 news earlier this morning. This textbook is well-known for promoting critical race theory and viewpoint discrimination. The continued use of this textbook is in direct conflict with several Alabama laws, including SB 129.

This report raises serious concerns about whether University faculty is complying with both the letter and spirit of the law.

UA YAF calls on the University of Alabama to review course materials to ensure compliance with Alabama law and University policy. UA YAF is deeply committed to ensuring viewpoint neutrality within each classroom, for all students.

We were very busy last week!
•Started the week with our final meeting which included electing our new officers for the 26-27 school year!
•Next, we had a wonderful time listening to Robert Spencer’s thoughts on the conflict with Iran!
•Lastly, we had an end of the year party that included good food, friends, and a recap video!

We had a wonderful year and can’t wait to see what’s next! 😁
