National Federation of the Blind of Alabama state convention, 2024 thank yous…First & foremost, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, for allowing me to be a part of such a great organization. I would like to thank our amazing president, Ms. Barbara Manuel for her extraordinary leadership in carrying out the vision of the organization. I’m also grateful for the board members and the state convention planning committee members who went above and beyond planning for this year. I was so grateful to be a part of the planning committee, as well as being allowed to be a vendor & do the devotion this year. I want to thank my amazing support system for being behind-the-scenes and doing whatever that was needed to be done to pull off on my behalf. Thanks to my mom Doris Sealey Lewis for always supporting me in what I do; Cathy McMullen, who was helping me behind the scenes even before the convention started; Rev. Laramie Dwayne Long Sr. for the transportation & also helping to set up the beverages in the hospitality room; Renfred Stallworth for transporting the red carpet back-and-forth for me, Ranisha S Hall & Toney Nixon for making me laugh the whole time; Tamika Williams, Constance R. Hughes, & Jennifer Reeves for helping me with whatever I need help with. I also want to thank Dr. Lonnie Weaver & Mrs. Alicia Weaver for your generous contribution. Special thanks to my Tuscaloosa SW chapter & my president. Ms. Brenda Houston for guiding me all along the way. Thanks to everyone who prayed for me. if I left out anyone, please charge it to my head and not my heart… This is one for the books! To God be the glory for all things he has done!
