In 2027, we will welcome 40 at risk teens to The Tribe… we will pull up a chair to a table that isn’t empty, we will sit during a craft as long as they want, we will host fall and spring events where they learn life skills, we will host Christmas where they make cookies and learn the story of Jesus…. We will show up! But we CANT without help from you!

It takes $400 for a camper to be in the Tribe…we do not charge foster families, or any family or group home, that money! We are NOT state funded… we are 100% donation based and EVERY dime goes directly to the children! There are NO paid positions throughout TRAC Tuscaloosa.

🎣 A fishing pole can do more than catch fish—it can help change a life.

For many at-risk teens, spending time with a positive male role model provides something that can’t be taught in a classroom: trust, encouragement, and a sense of belonging.

When mentors take youth fishing, they create opportunities to slow down, talk, listen, and build meaningful relationships. These simple moments often become powerful lessons in patience, responsibility, confidence, and resilience.

At TRAC, we believe strong mentors help young people see possibilities for their future and discover their own potential. Every trip, every conversation, and every shared experience helps build a foundation for success.

Just 3 days….

3 days changes lives!

In 3 days 14 boys will arrive at camp- met by 16 men and a host of volunteers …. But most importantly 14 at risk youth in our area will hear of God… will find out they are loved and God has a plan for them… will leave with HOPE for a future.

These men are going to be exhausted, tired, sore, and facing a spiritual battlefield…. These men also will know they have trained, prepared and done their very best….

30 more boys were on the waitlist….
10 more could have come…… but we didn’t have more counselors…. Please start praying now about how you can help next year! Next year let’s commit to 24!

Pray for these men and these boys this weekend! Pray for lives to be changed. Pray for God to let the fish bite, the snakes disappear, the clouds to part around the camp, and a breeze to fill our days!

Every donation matters!!! And TRAC Tuscaloosa remains blown away by the generosity and love the community continues to pour into our campers!

What better way to leave lake day than to have SNOW CONES!!! I think I saw every flavor combo known to man, but more importantly- we saw smiles so BIG, kiddos laying in the grass with smiles on their face and snow cones beside them, we say kids being kids!!!

There are ways to help… even if you can’t be at camp all day or all weekend! Every donation and act of kindness moves mountains for our campers and the counselors that are so endlessly showing them the unconditional love of God!

Through our partnership with Tuscaloosa County Foster Care Closet, some of our dedicated volunteers, and several community members …. TRAC Tribe girls enjoyed browsing clothing in their size and styles that made them feel covered, confident, and special! After they finished their time in the Clothing Boutique and Toiletries Boutique several of them showed off on the runway with their new found confidence!

Their biggest away- our beauty doesn’t come from revealing clothing - it comes from our God within us!
