Samory Pruitt is the 2026 recipient of the Judy Bonner Award, recognizing an individual who embodies the leadership and service that defined Dr. Judy Bonner’s University of Alabama tenure.

With more than 40 years of dedication to The University of Alabama—and as Vice President for Community Affairs since 2004—his work has expanded outreach, strengthened connections and brought people together through initiatives like Opening Doors, the UA United Way Campaign and Realizing the Dream.
