CDBC Playmakers Vivienne McDonald: College ball here she comes! ↪️✨

Vivienne McDonald first came to CDBC when she was 10 years old and graduated from camp this past summer. Vivienne has announced her commitment to play basketball at the next level, for Oberlin College in Ohio. We are so proud of Vivienne and excited to see her take this next step in her basketball career! Go Squirrels! 🏀

The countdown to camp starts now. ⏳‼️

Registration details:
🏀 Returning camper registration will be sent via email on October 15th, with registration paperwork due back by November 15th.
🏀 New camper registration will open December 1st
⭐️ Admission to CDBC is solely based off a first-come, first-serve basis. Campers are not selected based on basketball skill level.

We know, we know... “Camp is almost a whole year away.” But, it’s always camp prep season in our neck of the woods!

‼️Mark your calendars for the following important dates:

🏀 September 15th - Returning Camper Registration opens (watch for an email with registration link)

🏀 October 21st - Returning Camper Registration deadline

🏀 December 1st - New Camper Registration opens

A shout out to camp legend, Brian Grant!

Brian has joined us at camp for many years, sharing his story of grit and resilience through his Parkinson’s diagnosis while playing professional basketball. In addition to the important work he does through his nonprofit, Brian Grant Foundation , Brian carries himself in a way that inspires everyone around him to continue working toward their goals and treating others with kindness.

We are lucky to call him part of our camp family!

Huge shoutout to Nikolor Art | Custom Art & Gifts , Nikole and Angie, for creating a one-of-a-kind sticker to commemorate CDBC 2026. As Nikole’s son’s third year of camp was approaching, she wanted to create something special for the staff and campers. Combining her passion for art with something that means so much to her family felt like her way of contributing. With some input from her son, she created a sticker that creatively represents the key elements of camp. We’re so grateful for Nikole sharing her talent with our community.
