The American FFA Degree is the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization. It demonstrates the effort FFA members apply toward their supervised agricultural experience and the outstanding leadership abilities and community involvement they exhibited through their FFA career. Turlock FFA had 6 students earn this honor. Today, 5 Turlock FFA members were awarded their American FFA Degree at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jesus Alveraz, Alexis Dias, Joe Estacio, Dave Martinez and Betsy Theis.

Today, 41 Turlock FFA freshmen students attended the Greenhand Leadership Conference. This conference allows our young members to showcase their involvement early in a fun, engaging, and exciting way. From learning essential leadership tools to building connections, these students are gaining the confidence and knowledge needed to lead our chapter and community!

Last week, Turlock FFA participated in float building for the annual Homecoming Parade. The theme was “Blast from the Past”. In order to fit this theme, our rendition was “Little House on the Farm”. The plow featured on the float dates back to late 1700’s and early 1800’s!

Thank you to everyone who participated in the float building process. Your dedication, cooperation, and hard work was key to the success of our float.

This past Wednesday was Turlock FFA’s Tri-Tip BBQ Dinner Fundraiser. We want to thank everyone who supported our chapter by purchasing a meal. Every dollar raised from events like this go directly back into students- supporting our program, extracurricular activities, leadership conferences, and resources that help us ensure our members are thriving with Turlock FFA. The generosity from our community makes all this possible.

We also want to thank all of our members who helped put this fundraiser together. Without their active participation, none of it would be possible.

Thank you again for every single person involved in this fundraiser! We hope everyone enjoyed their meal.

California FFA is looking for volunteers to support upcoming award judging opportunities. Judges will participate in virtual interviews via Zoom, with an estimated time commitment of approximately two hours.

Upcoming opportunities include:
⭐ Star SAE Awards — Week of Feb. 18
🌱 SAE Awards — Week of March 1
🎓 Scholarships — Week of March 8
🔬 Agriscience — Week of March 15

Judges can select the award areas they feel most comfortable evaluating and will receive updates when sign-ups become available.

FFA alumni, industry professionals, supporters, and others with relevant experience are encouraged to consider volunteering. Your time and expertise can help recognize the hard work, experiences, and accomplishments of California FFA members.
