Since I seem to be in a roll posting this morning I thought I would take this opportunity to inform you of all the public events happening this week.
Cruze on out to one of these location to learn about and meet some of our animal ambassadors.
We have libraries and VBS(vacation Bible schools) and many after the bell or after school programs booked!

The month of June and some of July is FULL of public events… stay tuned!

I have been encouraged to get the critters a Tic Toc account…. I am considering it. I am TERRIBLE at mailing videos and posting so I am a bit nervous however, I am told the critters can possibly supplement their income to help pay their own bills juat by posting and people interested, so in thinking maybe a good idea.

I went to the App Store and there are TWO diffrent t tic tics. Which one is for people posting things their business is doing??

Thank you to all of those that help me find diced avocados…

I forgot to look for them when I was there earlier this week, but I remembered this morning and they were definitely hard to find. I would’ve never found them without all of your help!

As many of you know, I am highly highly allergic to avocados like get it in a cut and the cut gets more inflamed, touch my face and I break out in a rash my eyeballs swell closed. I have an EpiPen highly allergic to avocados. However, they are good for most of my animals so I typically risk it every day and cut up avocado for them. I try really hard to make sure I wash my hands and occasionally I’ll get it on a side of a bowl and feed at night and not wash my hands and then having rash or swollen eyeball. One of my amazing volunteers donated this and I keep it frozen and I use a measuring cup to scoop out the avocado chunks so I never come in contact with them and I typically put them at the bottom of the bowl and because they’re frozen when I start the process, they don’t get avocado oil all over my knives or anything else.
It definitely lowers the risk of exposure for me.

But now I’m almost out and I don’t remember who donated them where they came from or even where to find them I could not find them at Walmart the other day when I was shopping, anybody have any idea where you get these?
I’m sure they’re much more expensive than whole avocado avocados but the animals may have to pay a little more for avocado so that I don’t die trying to feed them something that is good for them, but kills me. 😊

We do take younger kids, (7/8 -12/13years old) the parents just need to stay with them. We love help from older kids and adults that just want to spend time with animals away from their kids😉! Franklin, not so sure he’s enjoying this spring shower! Peeking 👀 out into the rain from his nice warm home! 🏡

He and the other cicada tortoises do not enjoy the cold weather. They prefer nice warm spring weather. Which is why they all have heated dens and thank you to some amazing donations. They have hound heaters in their dens that keep them just the right temperature.
