Street Dog Love is sponsoring 200 free spay/neuter surgeries plus vaccines in Izamal, Mexico over four Saturdays this October. Here are a few photos from the first clinic day on 10/3. THANK YOU to everyone who donated to make this event happen -- including the August family and their friends and family. (The clinic is being held in honor of a former street dog -- Prince Izzy -- rescued by the Augusts when they visited Izamal last year.) And THANK YOU to the vets, technicians, volunteers and the people of Izamal for supporting our campaign to end dog and cat homelessness in underserved communities.

This wonderful family recently met and rescued a street dog in Izamal, Mexico. They named him Prince Izzy and now (through a matching contribution) they are helping us fundraise for the other homeless dogs and cats there. Your donation will support a better life for these beautiful animals at our upcoming health clinic in October. https://givebutter.com/PrinceIzzy

Not everyone can afford those fancy dog food subscription services -- so we created our own "topper" recipe that is inexpensive and easy to prepare. The street dogs we tested it on unanimously gave it two dewclaws up. If your dog agrees, please comment and let us know. You can also follow us and share this post to help us help street dogs and cats.

When Hannah August and her family rescued Prince Izzy, he had the fairy tale ending most street dogs never get. In honor of him, and to support the stray population of Izamal, please donate to our upcoming health clinic. Gofundme.com/f/princeizzy

Late post (its been a busy summer) to let our followers know that in July we paid for spay/neuters for a pack of street dogs that is being looked after by No mas perritos. Community spay and neuter program. No Mas Perritos does incredible (and incredibly hard) work to help homeless dogs living at and near the beach in Yucatan, Mexico. They are amazing and we were happy to step up and help them with this project.
