Street Dog Love

We need a miracle. Shrek and Fiona are a bonded pair of lab-type street dogs that live at the train station in Izamal, Mexico. They were probably dumped there as puppies. Deborah of feeds them but they are in danger of being hit by a car -- and they are lonely for love and affection. We are looking for an adoption where they can live together indoors as part of the family but also have access to a safe outdoor space. They are friendly, smart and heartworm negative (and on prevention). Exact age is unknown but likely to be about three years old. We can get them to the United States or Canada as long as the adopter is patient because it may take some time to organize the travel. Prince Izzy of Izamal concluded his North American Tour and got his happy ending yesterday. The August family adopted Izzy right off the street following a chance encounter in Mexico. After several months of vet prep and travel, he is finally home with them in NYC. Happy tails, Izzy. We love you!

Flying home from Mexico today following several sterilization campaigns over the past few months. Handsome Prince Izzy (front and center) is a former street dog from Izamal who has been adopted by an amazing family in New York. Chita (standing upright) is also a former street dog who now "snowbirds" in Mexico. Mac (being held) was just informed that he is going to be strapped to the wing because there is no more room on the plane. Next stop Montreal. Then onward by car to the US border!
