Shire of Rooks Haven The Shire of Rooks Haven is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism in the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann. We cover Tupelo, MS and the surrounding area.

The Shire of Rooks Haven is a member of the Kingdom of Gleann Abhann within the Society for Creative Anachronism. It consists of the city of Tupelo and surrounding area, and is always looking to expand its populace via demonstrations and events. The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consis

ts of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which feature tournaments, royal courts, feasts, dancing, various classes & workshops, and more. Our meetings occur on every Tuesday. On first and third Tuesdays, Ballard Park for our Business Meeting (1st) and Class Meeting (3rd). On second and fourth Tuesdays, we meet at Ballard Park for Fighter Practice. All meetings begin at 5:30pm.

M'lords and ladies, a message from our Seneschal:

"As per the post by the Kingdom Seneschal following CDC recommendations, there will be no official fighter practices or A&S nights for the month of April. The April and May business meetings will be conducted online and the situation reassessed at the May business meeting. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time."

Stay safe, practice your arts and crafts, and bash in some imaginary heads while we're taking this break.
