Our first Foot Care Event was such a meaningful morning... and it certainly won’t be our last!

Hosted during Saints' Brew’s daily breakfast program, we met people where they were and provided basic foot care, health screenings, supplies, and connections to follow-up care.

We welcomed 45 individuals throughout the morning, including individuals experiencing homelessness and others in need of support. During the event:

🩺 Blood pressure and blood glucose checks were available
👟 Shoes, socks, toiletries, and foot-care supplies were distributed
🦶 Our volunteer healthcare providers provided direct foot care to six individuals
❤️ Two individuals were scheduled for follow-up care after concerns were identified

A very special thank you to the healthcare professionals who volunteered their time and expertise:

Dr. Vernon Rayford
Dr. Andrew Kellum
Bernice Moore, RN
Teresa Roberts, RN
Alice Vasser, RN

We are also incredibly grateful to all of the organizations that came together to make this outreach possible:

Saints' Brew • MUTEH • City of Tupelo • Wear It Well • MSBoS CoC • Eliza Pillars Registered Nurses Association • Grandma's House

This event was a great example of what can happen when healthcare providers, community organizations, volunteers, and generous neighbors work together to meet people where they are.

Thank you to everyone who made our first event such a success.

Building a stronger community starts with showing up.

Our Wear It Well team was honored to participate in the Community Resource Fair, where we had the opportunity to connect with individuals and families, share information about our programs, and remind people that help and hope are available.

We distributed healthy snacks, bottled water, and hygiene bags because we believe meeting immediate needs opens the door to meaningful conversations and lasting impact. Every smile, every conversation, and every resource shared is another step toward restoring confidence, dignity, and hope.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table and to the organizers at White Hill Baptist Church for bringing our community together. Together, we are stronger.

College isn’t just a dream, it’s a possibility.

The Bridge kids had the opportunity to explore The University of Mississippi Tupelo campus and experience what college life can look like. Walking the campus, asking questions, and learning about educational opportunities helped our youth begin to see themselves beyond high school and into a future filled with purpose.

Sometimes all it takes is one visit to plant a seed. When young people can see what’s possible, they begin to believe it’s possible for them.

At The Bridge Enrichment Academy, we’re committed to exposing our youth to experiences that expand their vision, build confidence, and encourage them to dream bigger. Whether they choose college, a skilled trade, the military, or entrepreneurship, we want them to know they have options, and a future worth pursuing.

Thank you to The University of Mississippi Tupelo for welcoming the Bridge kids and investing in the next generation of leaders.

We also received an email from the director following our visit, “I just wanted to let you know that the students were a total delight! We enjoyed their visit. They were engaged, asked questions, and so professional. Thank you for visiting.”

This speaks volumes. It’s good to know they are listening and learning and applying it outside of The Bridge.

The Bridge kids got a behind-the-scenes look at the automotive industry during a visit to Barnes Crossing Volkswagen!

From the showroom to the body shop, our youth explored every aspect of what it takes to operate a successful dealership. They learned about careers in sales, customer service, vehicle maintenance, collision repair, and so much more. Seeing all the moving parts behind the scenes opened their eyes to opportunities they may have never considered.

A very special thank you to Mr. Deon, General Manager, for the invitation. And to his team, taking the time to personally share knowledge, giving our kids a complete tour of the facility, and even treating everyone to popcorn! Your generosity, hospitality, and willingness to invest in the next generation made this a memorable experience.

At The Bridge Enrichment Academy, we know that every new experience broadens a child’s perspective and helps them dream beyond their current circumstances. Exposure creates opportunity, and our kids left with a greater understanding that there are many different paths to a successful future.

Thank you, Barnes Crossing Volkswagen, for believing in our youth and helping us build tomorrow’s leaders, one experience at a time.

The Bridge kids reached new heights, literally!

They had an opportunity to visit the Tupelo Regional Airport and learn all about aviation. From exploring aircraft to learning what happens behind the scenes at an airport, our youth discovered what it takes to prepare for a flight, navigate the airport, and the many careers that keep aviation moving every day.

For some of our kids, this was their very first time inside an airport. Experiences like this remove fear, build confidence, and remind them that the sky is never the limit, it’s just the beginning.

Another highlight was having Around the Area with Allie with us to tell the story on WCBI News.

At The Bridge Enrichment Academy, we believe exposure creates opportunity. Every new experience helps our youth dream bigger, think differently, and realize they are capable of going farther than they ever imagined.

Thank you to the Tupelo Regional Airport team for investing in the Bridge kids and giving them an experience they’ll never forget. You didn’t just teach them about airplanes, you helped them believe their future can soar.

A very special (and belated) Happy Birthday to our Bridge kid, Drew!

We may have missed giving you a Facebook shoutout in July, but we definitely didn’t miss celebrating YOU!

Drew’s birthday wish was simple, a cake, ice cream, and a gift card to his favorite store. And we were honored to make it happen.

At The Bridge Enrichment Academy, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated. Birthdays are more than just another day on the calendar. They’re an opportunity to remind our kids that their lives matter and that they are deeply loved.

This wasn’t just a field trip… it was a glimpse into the future.

The Bridge kids walked through the Toyota Mississippi Experience Center and manufacturing plant with eyes full of wonder and minds full of possibilities. For many, this was more than seeing how a vehicle is built. It was seeing what their own future could become.

We believe that when you expose young people to excellence, you expand their vision. You can’t dream about what you’ve never seen.

Seeds were planted. Dreams got bigger. Confidence grew. And the Bridge kids left knowing there is a world of opportunity waiting on them.

Thank you, Toyota Mississippi, for opening your doors and investing in the next generation. Experiences like these don’t just change a day… they can change the direction of a life.

At Wear It Well, we’re not just keeping kids busy, we’re helping them discover purpose, passion, and possibilities one experience at a time.
