Meet Maegan Black, our Assistant Treasurer ✨

Maegan was introduced to the Tupelo Women’s Club by former coworker and fellow board member, Jessica Rushing. Inspired by the incredible impact the organization was making throughout the community, she knew she wanted to be a part of it.

“I said yes to being a member of TWC because I saw all the amazing things they were doing in our community,” Maegan shares. “The organization has given me an opportunity to make a difference and serve our community.”

As Assistant Treasurer, Maegan is proud to support an organization dedicated to giving back and creating positive change throughout Tupelo and the surrounding area.

When asked what she would say to someone considering joining, Maegan encourages other young women to take the leap: “You will make long-lasting friendships and community connections.” She believes the Tupelo Women’s Club is a wonderful opportunity for any woman looking to become more involved, make a difference, and build meaningful relationships within the community.

We are so thankful to have Maegan serving on our board! 🩷

Meet Madison, our Treasurer! 💜

Madison serves as Treasurer for the Tupelo Women’s Club, combining her love of banking and helping others to support our mission. She works at Community Bank and enjoys using her skills to serve both the club and our community.

Madison first became involved with TWC after members of her newly married grow group at church invited her to join. What started as a thoughtful invitation quickly became a meaningful opportunity to connect with other women who share a heart for service.

Born and raised in Tupelo, Madison wanted to give back to the community she loves. She enjoys supporting our charities and serving alongside an incredible group of women who are dedicated to making a difference.

One of Madison’s favorite things about TWC is the friendships she has built through the organization. She loves being part of a group that brings women together to create a positive impact throughout our community.

A little joy in Madison’s life right now? She and her husband are preparing to welcome their first baby—a sweet baby girl—this fall! 🤰🩷

Madison encourages any woman looking to grow friendships, serve others, and make a meaningful impact in Tupelo to consider getting involved with TWC.

📸 Standing beside Madison (left) is our Assistant Treasurer, Maegan (right). Not only do they work together at Community Bank, but they also enjoy serving alongside one another in TWC. Their shared passion for helping others and giving back to the community makes them a wonderful team. We can’t wait to introduce you to Maegan and share more of her story soon! ✨

Meet Tessa! Our Assistant Charity Liaison 🩷

Tessa serves as the Assistant Charity Liaison on the Tupelo Women’s Club board, where she helps strengthen the connection between the club and its partnered charities.

She joined the club four years ago after feeling drawn to community involvement. As she shares, “I knew being involved with the community was important to me and thought I would be a good fit. So I applied and was invited to join.”

When it came time to step into a leadership role, the decision felt natural. “I have helped with several of our charities over the last 4 years, and knowing that I would be working directly with them and Charity Liaison Chair Cassandra, I knew it was the right position for me,” she says.

For Tessa, the mission of the organization is deeply personal. “I have family that live out of state and would benefit from services that our charities provide. So knowing that helping these charities can help keep them in our community is very important to me.”

Outside of her board work, Tessa is an avid reader, often finishing more than 100 books a year. 📖At home, she finds joy in the everyday moments. “Getting home at the end of a long day at work and being greeted by my husband and four dogs,” is one of her favorite parts of the day. 🐶

When asked who should get involved, she keeps it simple: “Every woman in Lee County with a burden of bettering the community on their heart.” She adds, “The only way we can better the community that we live and work in is to work together.”

Meet our Holiday Tree Fest Silent Auction Chair, Mary Reed 🩵

Mary Reed joined the Tupelo Women’s Club after moving to Tupelo from Irving, Texas, in 2024. After attending Holiday Tree Fest that year, she was inspired by the club’s impact on the community and the dedication of its members.

What made Mary Reed want to get involved “was seeing firsthand the impact TWC has on the community and meeting women who are genuinely committed to serving others,” Mary Reed says. “It left me feeling inspired to contribute and take part in that same mission.”

For Mary Reed, the Tupelo Women’s Club provides an opportunity to serve her community while building meaningful friendships along the way.

Outside of TWC, Mary Reed enjoys embroidery and loves turning creative ideas into custom pieces. (Check out her Mary Reed Buckles | MRB🧵😉) Lately, she’s also been finding joy in spending intentional time with friends, whether that’s over coffee, a game of mahjong, or simply catching up.

Mary Reed encourages anyone looking for a meaningful way to get involved locally to consider joining TWC. “It’s a great way to meet people, build connections, and take part in something that has a positive impact locally.”

Meet Mallie, our Secretary! ✨✍️

After moving back to Tupelo, friends from church encouraged her to get involved with the Tupelo Women’s Club, and it ended up being the perfect fit.

She said yes to serving because she loves the organizations TWC supports and felt naturally drawn to the mission of the club. One of her favorite parts of being involved has been “connecting and reconnecting with like-minded women in our area” while building meaningful friendships and community along the way.

A fun fact about her? Although she’s originally from Tupelo, she spent five years after college living in Washington, DC working on Capitol Hill!

Lately, she’s been especially excited because her sister will soon be moving back to Tupelo. 🩷

She encourages anyone looking to grow their personal community while also making a difference in Tupelo to get involved!

Meet our Holiday Tree Festival Assistant, Jessica! 🎄✨

She first got involved with the Tupelo Women’s Club after a dear friend invited her to join, and quickly fell in love with everything the organization stands for.

From the charities we serve to the incredible sisterhood shared among members, she says saying yes to serving was an easy decision.

For her, one of the most meaningful parts of TWC is the extra love the club gets to spread throughout our community and seeing firsthand the impact that hard work can make.

Something people may not know about her? She has a twin brother! 👯

Lately, she’s been finding joy in watching her kids discover themselves through the sports they love.

She encourages anyone looking to grow within their community and find meaningful ways to give back to get involved. “It’s the best feeling in the world to see what your hard work has done.”🩷

Meet Dana, our Holiday Tree Fest Chair! 🎄✨

Dana serves on the Tupelo Women’s Club board and is helping plan this year’s Holiday Tree Festival!

She first got involved after friends encouraged her to attend a Provisional meeting, and with many friendships already connected to TWC, it felt like the right time to jump in.

For Dana, saying yes to serving came from a heart for community and family. “I’ve always enjoyed giving back to the community,” she said, and she hopes to pass that value on to her children by showing them what service looks like in action.

To her, TWC is really about connection—women coming together, building friendships, and supporting the community in meaningful ways.

Outside of TWC, her favorite place is with her kids, watching them grow into kind, strong, faith-filled people.

A few things you might not know: she was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and Alpha-gal, and is currently missing a good steak and cheeseburger more than she’d like to admit. 🥲

Her encouragement for those wanting to get involved with the Tupelo community and TWC is simple: “there’s a place for everyone to serve.” 🩷
