The Tupelo Garden Club recently popped up to provide floral arrangements for the American Red Cross volunteer dinner in late April.

We were honored to help celebrate the volunteers who give so much to our community during their “Volunteers in Bloom” event.

A sweet note from Red Cross Director K C Grist made the evening even more special:

“Thank you so much again for the lovely flowers. They truly helped make our ‘Volunteers in Bloom’ celebration special. I’m also taking the large arrangement to my mom for her 98th birthday tomorrow!”

We love seeing flowers continue spreading joy beyond the event itself!

A little late posting, but these spring memories were too sweet not to share!

The Tupelo Garden Club had a wonderful afternoon at the Easter Egg Hunt at the Tupelo Children’s Mansion. Precious children, kind and appreciative teachers and staff, and lots of smiles made for such a special day. We even had a visit from the Easter Bunny!

The Tupelo Garden Club popped up at the Easterseals Child Advocacy Center to plant beautiful spring pots and brighten the entrance for the children and families they serve!

This is our second year to support this worthwhile organization, and we are honored to help create a welcoming and cheerful space for the kids.

Jr. Gardening was in full bloom at Rankin Elementary!

Three Garden Club members spent the day with 21 students learning about planting flowers and potting plants to take home. The students planted colorful vinca and begonias and had so much fun getting their hands dirty and creating something of their own to enjoy at home.

Judging by all the smiles, it was a fun day for everyone!

The Lee County Library flower bed is officially refreshed for spring!

Garden Club committees recently spent time cleaning up the beds, spreading fresh pine straw, and adding beautiful annual color flowers to brighten the space for the community to enjoy.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the library grounds look so welcoming and beautiful this season!

Our Garden Therapy Committee had a wonderful visit at The Manor on Lawndale, where 18 residents joined us for a special hands-on activity.

Together, we created beautiful resurrection gardens—each one a meaningful symbol of hope and new life for residents to take back to their rooms.

It was a joy to share this time, laughter, and creativity with such a special group. A good time was truly had by all, and we are grateful for the opportunity to spread a little extra sunshine through gardening.

From planting day to full bloom—what a beautiful journey!

Tupelo Garden Club is proud to be part of the Plant It Pink initiative, adding vibrant pink tulips in our community as a symbol of hope, strength, and beauty.

These photos capture both the joy of getting our hands in the dirt and the reward of seeing those efforts come to life. This year we planted at the Lee County Courthouse.

Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life. We love seeing Tupelo blooming in pink! 🌷

Our March meeting was a wonderful morning of learning and inspiration, hosted in the lovely home of Linda Lee Brawner.

We enjoyed an insightful program, “Organic Gardening Secrets for the Average Gardener,” presented by Will Reed of Native Son Farm. He shared the story of how the farm began sixteen years ago and has grown into Mississippi’s largest certified naturally grown CA farm—producing chemical-free fruits, vegetables, and delicious baked goods year-round.

It was inspiring to hear how sustainable practices can be approachable for everyday gardeners while making a meaningful impact.

A heartfelt thank you to our gracious hostesses: Bess Leathers, Carolyn Pillow, Beth Holliman, Gale Lindsey and Linda Lee Brawner.

We’re grateful for another beautiful day of fellowship, learning, and growing together!
