🎉 Congratulations to Jason Brassfield, Sanctuary Hospice’s July Employee of the Month!

Jason serves as a chaplain with our Home Hospice team, and his compassionate, generous spirit is a blessing to our patients, families, and fellow team members.

Jason has been nominated for this recognition many times during his short time here, and it’s easy to understand why. He is incredibly accommodating, consistently checks in on his coworkers, and is deeply invested in the patients and families he serves. He has a calm, easy spirit that makes people feel supported and cared for.

Perhaps one of the best examples of Jason’s servant heart is something he often asks at the end of his day: “What else can I do to help?” ❤️

That willingness to serve , even when his own workday is coming to an end, says so much about who Jason is and the heart he brings to Sanctuary Hospice.

We are grateful to have Jason on our team and so happy to celebrate this well-deserved recognition. Congratulations, Jason! 👏

A beautiful setting can make all the difference when it’s time to step away, reconnect and refocus. ❤️

Recently, our Sanctuary Hospice leadership staff had the opportunity to spend some time together at LeighWood Place in Saltillo, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting.

Most people may think of LeighWood Place first as a beautiful wedding and special-event venue and it certainly is! but we discovered that it also offers the perfect respite for an off-site staff retreat, leadership gathering or planning session.

We are so grateful for the wonderful accommodations, gracious hospitality and incredibly accommodating spirit shown to our Sanctuary team. Thank you for giving us such a welcoming place to gather, reflect, commune and plan!

Sanctuary Hospice is a 24-bed inpatient facility where our kitchen team prepares and serves three meals each day for our patients and their caregivers. We’re looking for a dependable, caring person to join our team as a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant.

Position Details:
• Part-time, day shifts
• Some weekends required
• Previous kitchen or cooking experience is a must.

If you enjoy cooking and would love the opportunity to use your skills in a place where every meal is part of caring for others, we’d love to hear from you!

Judy serves our patients, families, volunteers, and staff in a way that goes far beyond preparing wonderful meals. While her delicious cooking nourishes the body, her kind spirit nourishes the soul.

With a contagious smile and a heart full of encouragement, Judy has a way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for. She is quick to offer a kind word, celebrate a coworker's success, or brighten someone's day with her positivity.

The work of our dietary team can sometimes happen behind the scenes, but anyone who has spent time at Sanctuary knows just how meaningful it is. A warm meal, a friendly face, and a caring heart can provide comfort during some of life's most difficult moments and Judy delivers all three every single day.
