People who Love Tuolumne County: There's a great opportunity to serve, but it's not like our other volunteer positions: Please consider helping our county in this way too!

You've read their reports. You've heard about their investigations. You've thought about suggesting topics to be researched. Now it's time to volunteer to be a member of the 2026/27 Tuolumne County Grand Jury! You must be at least 18, a resident of Tuolumne County, a US citizen, with verbal and written proficiency in English.

Grand Juries are an independent body of 19 people who serve a volunteer term for one year, from July 2026 thru June 2027. Your time commitment will vary depending on your involvement with various committees. As a member of the Grand Jury, you may examine all aspects of local government, the county, the city of Sonora, school districts, and special districts to ensure the best interests of Tuolumne County citizens are being served. We love Tuolumne County! ❤️

We’ve been reflecting all week about how great it was to serve with our community for our 2026 serve weekend. At every project site, we were humbled by examples of what it means to love our county. Thank you for stepping up, pitching in, and making Tuolumne County a better place.

In total, more than 300 community members joined us to complete 20+ projects across the county, including clean ups, garden planting, painting, w**d whacking, and so much more. Check out what we accomplished together at LoveTuolumneCounty.org.

Love Tuolumne County is excited to partner with Habitat For Humanity Tuolumne County to transition the Miner's Motel on Highway 108 to an affordable housing facility! Habitat is asking for ten volunteers to help clear out some vegetation, restore order to the site (inside and out), and prepare for re-construction that will start soon.

This is more than a workday. It’s the beginning of turning an existing structure into a place that will provide stability, dignity, and housing for those who need it most.

Two days. One park. A big community effort 👏

Join us at Standard Park to help make this community gathering place feel the love. Saturday and Sunday, we’ll be there completing fence repairs, w**d whacking, trash pickup, and installation of new benches and pavers.

Let’s give Chester & Push some TLC ❤️

At Chester & Push, rescued horses are given a second chance at life. Many of these animals have come from difficult situations, and this ranch provides them with safety, care, and space to heal.

On Sunday, April 26, volunteers are needed to help improve the property. We’ll help with ranch cleanup, mowing and w**ding, barn organization, and more. If you enjoy working outdoors, helping animals, or simply serving alongside others for a good cause, this project is for you. No experience needed!

The next Closed for Service project at The Gathering is at the Columbia Motel in partnership with Love Tuolumne on April 26th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with lunch provided at 12:30 PM. The Columbia Motel serves as a housing site supporting individuals in recovery through the Refuge Recovery program, making this an especially meaningful opportunity to care for a space that provides hope and stability. Volunteers of all ages and ability levels are welcome, with a variety of hands-on projects focused on refreshing and restoring the property.

Suggested items to bring: work gloves, rakes or shovels, brooms, garden tools, trash bags, basic cleaning supplies, paint brushes or rollers, a reusable water bottle, and sun protection. Join us as we serve together and make a tangible impact in Tuolumne County.
