It's nice to Republicans in District 20 willing to stand up for their principles.

NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA – A group of voters from Luzerne, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming County, are attempting to oust the District 20 State Senator incumbent, Lisa Baker, by writing in Republican, Nathan Turock, during the primary election on May 17th 2022.
The group of Republicans supporting Nathan Turock in Pennsylvania's 20th Senatorial District have stated they are “unhappy with Baker and she has been in office too long.” They further stated “there should be term limits for State Senators and Nathan Turock will fight for term limits.”
Nathan Turock could win the election as a write-in candidate if a majority of the Republican voters write Nathan Turock on the ballot. It wouldn’t be the first time a Republican write-in candidate won an election for the State Senate. In 2014, Republicans supported write in candidate, Scott Wagner, who won the election for State Senator of the 28th District in York County.
Write-in Candidates in the United States are becoming more popular with voters because in many elections, there is only one name on the ballot. A majority of the voters would rather have at the very least, a second option on the ballot. Write-in votes are uniquely an American tradition. Nowhere else in the world can you cast a vote for a candidate not included on the ballot.
