What a week of ASB conversations!💡

Our third ASB roadshow stop brought us to Everett, where new connections were made and groups immersed in lively discussions. The questions and ideas reminded us just how much we can learn from others navigating the same scenarios and challenges.

Later in the week, we kicked off the first session in our virtual ASB series for bookkeepers and secretaries. Thank you to everyone who joined us, whether in Everett or online! 💙

WASBO’s 2026 ASB roadshow kicked off this week, making its first stops in Spokane and Yakima! 🚐🗺️

Thank you to the student leaders, ASB bookkeepers, secretaries, district administrators, principals, advisors and school staff who joined us! You showed up for your schools and its students by taking the time to learn alongside your peers. Your care as stewards of ASB funds helps make student activities and opportunities possible year-round.

🌟 Meet Your *NEW* 2026–27 Operations Networking Group Leaders 👋🏽

New year, broader network! A lot goes into keeping a school district running and now those conversations are uniting together in ONE place. The newly combined Operations Networking Group gives our community more opportunities to connect across specialties, share what's working and tap into an even broader range of experience and expertise.

This week, we're recognizing the volunteer leaders helping guide those opportunities: Morgan Thornton (CN Chair), Makoa Jacobsen (Records Chair) and Keri Weiss (Facilities Chair)!

From facilities and child nutrition to risk management, transportation and other operational areas, this group will provide space to bring questions to the table, exchange resources and learn what's working in districts across Washington state.

A new group means new possibilities 👏🏽 Thank you to our Operations leaders for helping lead this next chapter, we can't wait to see what this broader network makes possible for our school business community.
