In “The Pit: When God Starts With a Setback,” Pastor David Sellstrom continues Multiplication Season by following Joseph from the promise of his dreams to the bottom of a pit—and revealing how God can use what looks like loss as the beginning of multiplication. Drawing from Genesis 37 and Acts 8 and 11, this message shows the same pattern in the early church: persecution scattered believers, but the Holy Spirit turned their setback into an opportunity for the gospel to spread, people to be healed and delivered, and entire cities to experience the joy of Christ. When life takes an unexpected turn, the promise hasn’t necessarily been lost; God may already be moving in ways you cannot see. The pit is not the opposite of the promise—it’s the path to it.
