Help us move this demonstration pollution-prevention landscape toward more self-sufficiency !🌱 July 8 and July 22 from 9-noon, we will be planting groundcovers to fill in spaces in our previous planting sites which reduces the colonization of weeds. This is a crucial step in realizing our goal of this landscape at the Thurston Co. Correctional Facility becoming an ongoing opportunity for teaching residents about protecting water & habitat through water-wise landscaping principles.

Get Inspired at the Nursery

Projects change with the seasons at the NPSF Nursery: there is always something new and special to learn, from how to salvage native plants in the winter, up-potting for spring growth, summer seed starts to fall plant divisions. Workshops are always free or include liberal scholarship options.

We offer tasks for all ability levels, ages and learning styles. To respect everyone’s ability to participate please note our chaperone policy as follows: Children ages 6-13 require a ratio of 1 adult : 3 children; Children under 6 years of age require a ratio of 1 adult : 2 children. If you have specific mobility, accessibility or learning concerns please contact [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you at our next learning event!
