40 Years ago this week, Tulsa saw one of the largest floods in known memory. The River Parks system was created in part to intentionally limit developement of homes and businesses along the Arkansas River thus preventing billions in damages. As a result of the flooding, Tulsa developed floodwater control systems that are the envy of many cities across the nation.

The 🔝Oktoberfest in the USA is coming up! 🎉🎉Zeeco Oktoberfest Tulsa celebrates authentic Bavarian culture in the heart of Oklahoma, in an incredible setting patterned after Oktoberfest Munich in Bavaria, Germany. Oktober 22-25th!
Pre-fest events kick off German week in Tulsa with 's celebrated Corporate Night on Wednesday evening. The festival is open to the public on Thursday but includes a private, authentic German Dinner BierMeister's Ball followed by Friends and Family night followed by Zeeco Family Free day on Friday. Festivities continue throughout the weekend and culminate with Früstück Auf Dem Oktoberfest and the zany Dachshund Dash.

Please use the lower trail through festival park as Oktoberfest sets up. Same great views of Zink Lake!

The River Parks trail just north and south of I44 on the east bank) has a temporary detour while the City of Tulsa conducts work on sewer infrastructure. Soon the path will narrow considerably in this area when excavation work begins. Use caution and please slow down on this section until work is completed later this fall.
