A Third Place Community Foundation

A Third Place Community Foundation Community Renewal in Far North Tulsa's 74126 and 74130 zipcodes, growing healthy lives and neighborhoods. We are a 501c3 non-profit tax-exempt organization. N.

This is the organizational page for the Foundation and links to its various projects for health and community renewal and justice in Far North Tulsa. Serving mainly the 74126 and 74130 zipcodes of the McLain School area, and in our food program we also serve the Sperry, OK area. We serve the general area from 46th St. to 76th St. and from Highway 75 to the Osage County Line. We rely on volunteers

and our neighbors and seek to empower local residents, to partner with all others for justice in this lower income low life expectancy area. Our main projects are the Welcome Table Community Center, https://www.facebook.com/Welcome-Table-Community-Center-156713841091351/, and The Welcome Table GardenPark and Orchard, https://www.facebook.com/WelcomeTableGardenParkandOrchard/, and Turley Art Room, https://www.facebook.com/groups/turleyartroom/?fref=ts, as well as working on other projects and partnerships in the community. We were founded by a church, https://www.facebook.com/WelcomeTableMission/ and www.progressivechurchplanting.blogspot.com, but we were founded by them as a non-faith-based foundation open to working with all communities of faith and other secular groups. We opened up A Third Place Community Center, as it was called then, in 2007, and achieved non-profit status for our Foundation in 2009. The GardenPark and Orchard was begun in 2010, reclaiming and transforming a block of abandoned houses and trashed properties. The Welcome Table Community Center was opened in 2011 in an abandoned vandalized former church building.
