🐾🩷 SAFE AT LAST, BUT THE RESCUE DOESN’T STOP HERE! 🩷🐾
We are SO incredibly thankful to have been part of busting these three sweet kids out of the Okmulgee Shelter and giving them the second chance they deserve! 🥹
It truly takes a VILLAGE, and we have some pretty incredible ladies in ours! Thank you Wölfe Cutlery for helping these pups get to safety and Nikki Day who worked tirelessly networking these babies, to coordinating and providing transportation, and a HUGE thank you to Tania Crawford for babysitting our sweet Oona so she could make her way to safety too! 🩷
Because of this amazing team effort, these three are SAFE, LOVED, and finally getting the care they deserve!
But here’s the part of rescue that doesn’t always get talked about…
Getting them out of the shelter is just the beginning. 🥹
While we are beyond grateful these babies are safe, we’ve already discovered some medical challenges that come along with their fresh starts.
🐶 Our two newest puppies both have ringworm! They’ve already started treatment, but that means lots of extra cleaning, medication, and quarantine until they’re cleared.
And let me tell you, these two do NOT understand why they can’t party with all their new furends! 🤪 They’re happy, playful little babies who just want to run around and have fun!
We could REALLY use a puppy playpen or two to give them some extra room to play safely while we keep them separated from everyone else. I’m a little crazy about quarantine and preventing anything from spreading, so these would be a HUGE help!
🐾 Our sweet Oona has also tested positive for heartworms, meaning she has a treatment journey ahead of her.
And unfortunately, she’s not our only new arrival facing this diagnosis.
🩷 Birdie, our sweet girl we just rescued from OKC Animal Welfare, is also heartworm positive.
That’s TWO precious girls who now need heartworm treatment, on top of the everyday expenses that come with saving these lives.
This is the reality of rescue. 💔
We celebrate every freedom ride, every dog walking out of a shelter, and every life saved. But the work doesn’t end when they reach safety.
It’s the veterinary appointments, medications, treatments, food, supplies, and countless hours of care that follow.
And every single dollar we spend getting these babies healthy is another dollar we have to raise before we can say YES to the next dog desperately needing us.
So here’s where our amazing village comes in! 🩷
If you’d like to help these four sweet babies on their journeys to healthy, happy lives, we would be SO grateful!

We couldn’t do this without our village, and we certainly couldn’t keep saying yes to the next little face needing a second chance.
Here’s to freedom rides, fresh starts, and making sure every single one of these babies gets the happy ending they deserve! 🐶🩷
