The City Lights Foundation of Oklahoma is a nonprofit organization bringing hope and dignity to people experiencing homelessness in Tulsa, Oklahoma through relational service and dignified housing. As a volunteer you will provide many different services to Tulsans experiencing homelessness and lower income families in the nearby neighborhoods. As you do this you will be building relationships with

not only our guest but also other volunteers. Your night will begin at 6:30 with an orientation designed to go over our rules and expectations in order for Night Light to run smoothly and safely. During this time volunteers will be broken into smaller teams. We will have a team that will be preparing/serving food, a team that will be washing feet, a clothing team, a team that will be handing out basic needs, and a team who will be sitting at tables sharing a meal and conversation with our guests. Each station is used to build relationships and restore dignity and hope. At the end of the evening all volunteers will come together as our clean up crew.

We loved welcoming the InvestNorth partners to City Lights Village for a tour of the Community Center and homes, sharing how intentional design and dignified, supportive housing will help our neighbors exiting homelessness find stability and community.

Night Light always begins with volunteer orientation, where we gather together, talk through the evening, welcome new and returning volunteers, and then break into smaller station groups led by our amazing volunteer staff.

With many different roles to fill each week, our volunteer staff members are there to guide, encourage, and help you feel prepared.

There are so many ways to show up and care for our neighbors. Join us for volunteer orientation at 6:30 PM and we’ll help you find your place! 🌟

What a difference a year can make!

One year ago, we broke ground on City Lights Village and celebrated the beginning of a dream years in the making.

Since then, we’ve watched that dream take shape knowing that none of this would be possible without the incredible support of our community. Look at how far we've come since the start of upward construciton last June!
