Our Native American LINK Executive Board members returned from a triumphant journey to DELMARVA, encompassing Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia, with unforgettable experiences. Our purpose was to share personal reports of our LINK ministry to longtime supporters of The Native American LINK. Initially, we encountered a few hurdles, as our host family required urgent medical attention, prompting an adjustment to our accommodations in the Crystal City/Arlington area. A flight cancellation due to inclement weather in Washington, DC added to the challenge. Despite a hotel cancellation policy that didn't yield a refund, we chose to take the opportunity to explore the rich history of Washington, DC, and Annapolis, MD, where two members discovered national monuments for the first time. We then went to the Annapolis area where we were warmly received by our sweet friend, June, who insisted on feeding us well! Since June lives about 5 miles from the US Naval Academy, we took a quick visit to the area. Elsie’s dad was a Navy veteran so that was pretty special for her. We were warmly received by supporters in Middle River, MD, and Fenwick Island, DE, during our Sunday church meetings. We were able to meet Middle River’s pastor for the first time, so that was great to make a new acquaintance. Fenwick Island Baptist Church opened their doors to us with an evening meal & allowing us to share the many opportunities we have had to minister to women & families. The church also made arrangements for us to stay in a beautiful home, then treated us to a wonderful breakfast with new friends, Sandy & Randy. Being within miles of the Atlantic Ocean, we couldn't resist seeing its beauty and listening to the sound of the Atlantic Ocean’s waves, especially for one board member's first encounter. Then, a glorious visit with a dear friend, Catherine, brought great joy, as the ladies jumped right in, assisting with meal preparation. That capped our 5 day visit. The ladies and Mike, as treasurer, represented LINK well as ambassadors. It is so good to stay connected (LINKed) with those who support us & lift us up in prayer. Serving God brings great blessings!
