🐈‍⬛❤️ TWO LITTLE HEARTS, LOOKING FOR ONE FOREVER HOME. 🥹❤️🐈‍⬛

Meet Arlo and Halston, two adorable 6-month-old kittens at Tulsa Animal Services who have already taught us a little something about the importance of having someone by your side. 🥹

These two are clearly bonded, and we’re hoping to find them a forever home TOGETHER! ❤️

When they were separated at the shelter, neither was doing particularly well. They were unhappy, scared, and hissing constantly. 💔

But something changed when they were reunited.

They started to relax. They began warming up. And suddenly, in a place that can be incredibly overwhelming for animals, they found a little bit of comfort and safety.

In each other. 🥹❤️

And if that doesn’t tug at your heartstrings, I don’t know what will.

Imagine being just six months old, finding yourself in a noisy, unfamiliar shelter, and the only thing that makes you feel safe is having your best friend beside you.

That’s Arlo and Halston.

We would absolutely LOVE to see these two leave the shelter the same way they’ve learned to navigate it. Together. 🏡❤️

We know finding a home for two kittens instead of one can be a little more challenging, but somewhere out there is someone with room in their home and heart for both.

Tulsa Animal Services released its weekly stats for October 12–18, and behind these numbers is a whole community showing up.

🐾 115 dogs and cats adopted
🏡 19 pets reunited with their families
🚐 23 animals transferred to rescue partners
💙 An 87% save rate for the week

We fought HARD for the at-risk dogs. Our volunteers, the shelter staff, adopters, fosters, rescue partners, and everyone sharing their posts helped give so many of them another chance. We are proud of this community and grateful for every person who took action.

We’re also holding space for the 15 animals who didn’t make it. We can celebrate the lives saved while remembering the ones we lost. 💔🌈😭

‼️But please look at the other side of this report: 117 animals entered the shelter in just one week. There were still 226 dogs in a facility with room for 176.
The biggest challenge our shelter faces is INTAKE. We have to work on why so many animals need the shelter in the first place

📣Spay and neuter your pets. Keep them safely contained. Keep microchips and ID tags current. Make a lifelong commitment to the animals you bring home. If you’re struggling, seek help early and as a community, let’s help people access the resources they need to keep their pets.

Responsible pet ownership starts long before an animal reaches the shelter doors‼️
