The Barony of Northkeep The Barony of Northkeep is the Tulsa, Ok chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). We recreate and study the fun parts of the middle ages.

The Barony of Northkeep is the Tulsa, Oklahoma chapter of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA), a non-profit, educational organization devoted to the study of pre-seventeenth century history and life. Although principally this is European culture; some members study the Middle East, Asia and other regions that had contact with Europe during this time. The members of the SCA often take

Northkeep, We have some more news about Castellan. The very same weekend that we booked our date with the Kingdom Calendar Deputy, the Kingdom Events Deputy was notifying some of our Vindheim friends of the Kingdom’s approval for them to use the same weekend for Ansteorran Heraldic and Scribal Symposium. Our first instinct was the ask the Kingdom Seneschal for a variance to allow both events to go on. On further introspection, We decided that this plan of action would likely do more harm than good to both events. We have decided that instead of moving our event further into the hot of the summer, we will graciously allow Ansteorran Heraldic and Scribal Symposium to have that weekend. We will cancel Castellan this year and turn our attention to making Northkeep’s 30th Year Event in October the biggest, best event Northkeep can create. We will NOT be moving our championships to Northkeep’s 30th Year. Instead, we will focus on the fun, friendship, and Northkeep Hospitality that we’re known for. Please know this was not an easy decision. We know there are years of tradition wrapped up in Castellan and we’re not ignoring that. But We feel like this is the right decision for the safety of our fighters, for the fellowship we share with other groups in Vindheim, and for Northkeep.
