Meet Tara Bird. After years of active addiction, Tara turned to the Addiction Recovery Center (ARC) for help. Through hard work, dedication, and a commitment to recovery, she began rebuilding her life.

Today, Tara has reconnected with family members who had once severed ties with her, has a good job, and has a place to call home. Her story is a powerful reminder that recovery can open the door to a life once thought impossible.

As we near the end of Su***de Prevention Month, we want to remind you that at GRAND, su***de prevention is more than a month. It’s something we carry with us every day.

Payne County, you showed up for recovery!

Our Payne County team came together for a special Recovery Month breakfast centered on connection, hope, and the power of sharing our stories.

Staff who felt comfortable were invited to share their recovery stories, with their photos and words displayed on a posterboard to remind others that recovery is possible and hope is real.

Over breakfast, coffee, juice, and milk, our team had the opportunity to connect, celebrate recovery, and wear recovery-focused T-shirts as a visible reminder that no one has to walk this journey alone.

Thank you, Payne County, for creating space to celebrate recovery and share messages of hope.

📅 Mark your calendars! On Friday, October 2, from 3:30–5:30 p.m., the GRAND Caring Van will be at the Common Good Northwest Tulsa Hub at 19 S. 49th W. Ave., Tulsa, OK 74127 for Good in the Neighborhood.

Our team will be providing screenings, information, and connections to GRAND’s comprehensive behavioral health services, including crisis stabilization, outpatient therapy, and inpatient addiction treatment.

Whether you need support, have questions, or simply want to learn more about the resources available in your community, we’re here for you.

Saturday was all about celebrating the incredible people who make GRAND what it is. Our team came together at Incredible Food & Fun in Tulsa for a day filled with laughter, connection, and a little fun outside of work.

Every day, our team members show up with compassion, dedication, and a commitment to Improving Lives. We hope Saturday reminded them just how much they are valued and appreciated.
