We want to give a huge shout-out to our new Employee Engagement Specialists (ESS)! This new role was created to ensure all new hires and staff feel supported, encouraged, and truly part of our organization. Our ESS team has spent countless hours traveling across all 13 counties to connect with staff, making sure everyone knows they have an accessible advocate when needed. These incredible team members know exactly how to build meaningful connections and remind employees that they are never alone. Way to go, Cheri, Mikey, Keita, and their fearless leader, Alexis!

The results are in, and our inaugural Battle of the Bands was a huge success! Not only was it a really good time celebrating our amazing recovery community, but the funds raised to support addiction treatment services surpassed our year one goal! We didn’t do that, you did. Thanks to everyone who showed up, donated, volunteered, sponsored, or helped in any other way. We can’t wait to see you at next year’s Battle!

GRAND Mental Health hosted a Battle of the Bands benefit concert in support of addiction recovery and raised over $25,000.

31 of our clinicians completed DC: 0-5 training led by Candice Wright, LPC-S, IMH-E® - strengthening our team’s ability to assess and support the mental health of infants and young children.

The Addiction Recovery Center (ARC) was the catalyst for James’s journey, marking just the start of his transformation. Through GRAND Mental Health, he discovered not only support but also a new sense of purpose. Today, James proudly serves as a field trainer, giving back to the very system that played a crucial role in his recovery. He now walks beside those still facing their battles, offering them hope, guidance, and the wisdom of his own experiences.

In this journey, James also nurtured his personal life. He gained full custody of his son, welcomed another into the world, and embraced marriage. What once seemed unattainable has now beautifully unfolded in his life.

For James, recovery has been more than achieving sobriety; it has ushered in stability, meaning, and a deep sense of peace.

The 2026 Battle of the Bands is underway!

What started as an idea from a passionate GRAND Mental Health staff member grew into a powerful community movement. Blending a deep commitment to addiction recovery with a love of live music, GRAND Mental Health’s Battle of the Bands benefit concert is designed to raise funds, awareness, and hope for individuals on the road to recovery.

More than a concert, this event celebrates Oklahoma’s vast recovery community. Proceeds from the event supported GRAND’s life-saving work in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment, access to care, outreach, and crisis care. Every dollar raised will help create pathways to stability, healing, and hope for individuals striving to reclaim their lives.
