Sometimes our veterans have a personal dog in need of a little training. With Tim's permission, we would like to share his experience with Torchlight K9:

Hi Rob and GI Wishes team,

I just wanted to say thank you for paying for my German Shepherd, Charlie, to get the obedience training he needed. That help meant a lot to me.

Charlie helps me deal with PTSD, and the training made a real difference. He’s calmer, more focused, and honestly it’s helped me feel more steady and confident having him with me. That support you gave us really mattered.

It means a lot knowing there are people out there who actually care about veterans and understand how important our dogs are to us. What you do makes a real difference, and I’m grateful for it.

Thanks again for everything you do and for having my back.

Message from Finder: Found around 1030AM across from the Assembly Church in Broken Arrow, reportedly wandering in the nearby developing neighborhood for several days. He was scanned at the vet and unfortunately does not have a chip.

After a year of successful collaboration to connect veterans with trained rescue dogs between GI Wishes, Torchlight K9, and Oklahoma German Shepherd Rescue, the joint effort collaboration will be ending.

All three collaborators value the veterans they have served and will continue to provide their unique services to veterans in need.
