Arkansas-Oklahoma Synod

10/06/2026

This is a wonderful time to pause and recognize the pastors, deacons, and other rostered ministers who faithfully serve our congregations and communities.

Their ministry is often behind the scenes — offering guidance, comfort, prayer, encouragement, and a steady presence through both joyful and difficult moments.

💙 Take a moment to celebrate your pastor or deacon!
Send a note of appreciation, make a phone call, offer a word of encouragement, or simply let them know that their ministry matters.

Let’s make sure the people who spend so much time caring for others know how much they are appreciated, too.

Thank you to all of our rostered ministers for the many ways you serve, lead, and care for God’s people. 🙏

STARTING TOMORROW - One Synod, One Book

Join the Arkansas-Oklahoma Synod as we read "Separation of Church and Hate" by John Fugelsang. This is a great book as we continue to learn about Christian Nationalism. Written by a comedian, "Separation of Church and Hate" is easily accessible to all levels of readers including lay and ordained people alike. We are encouraging congregations to form a book study in their congregation be that with the adult education group, a WELCA gathering, an established book group or any other way this fall.

You can also join two book studies on zoom. One group will meet at 1pm on Tuesday starting 9/15 and another at 7pm on Thursdays starting 9/17.
