In times of suffering, our God does not stand at a distance. Rather, the “Father of mercies and God of all comfort” comes near with the compassionate touch of a Savior who is well-acquainted with grief.

We mourn with and lift up the community of Uvalde, Texas, and each family impacted by this unthinkable tragedy. Together, let’s pray: “Heal our land.”

God has commanded us to be strong and courageous, knowing that He is with us wherever we go. You can prayerfully go into situations with the Word as your weapon and begin to pray God's promise over them-- that's how we'll see change in our state!

Take time today to pray out loud! Speak God's promises and let His plan unfold in your life and in our state. Pray in intercession for others and believe for God to work on their behalf. There's power when you pray God's Word!

When you're together, Jesus is there. No matter what season you're in - if you're in victory or struggle, mountain or valley, be sure to have people with you. When you surround yourself with people who know the power of prayer, there literally isn't anything you can't do!

Make time this week to connect with people and pray together. Seek after Jesus and build relationships with people who are doing the same!

Don't forget that our calling as Christians is to spread the name and message of Jesus in everything we do. In conversation, in attitudes, actions, and decisions, we're directed to show those around us what the true love of Jesus looks like.
