Abby Against ALL Follow along in support of Abby as she continues her fight against leukemia!

Abby spent a good Mother's Day with her incredible Mom, Ashlee Emhoolah yesterday! We just want to send love to Ashlee. She and Abby have endured so much together with this diagnosis and Ashlee has been the rock through it all. We hope everyone else enjoyed the people in their lives too!

Ab has her echo test today. We are hoping it will show no damage and no fluid.

She is enjoying not having to go to the hospital so much and being able to live her life fully! Abby does have bloodwork once a month, but just went Friday so after today's test she gets a break from appointments for a bit.

Please pray for healthy results! Send all the good vibes. Think positive thoughts.

Update as of this afternoon: Abby is home and resting, but the X-ray did show some fluid around the heart.

Part of treatment ending included a echo to check her heart anyway. Because of the results of the X-ray, the echo will be scheduled stat to investigate further.

Please pray over this situation for Abby. Send good thoughts. We are only thinking positively from here on out!

Thank you all so much!

Abby’s port removal was successful! She is back in recovery currently. They are waiting on another X-ray since the catheter was a bit harder to remove than expected. The surgeon did say that happens sometimes. Once the X-ray confirms all looks well and Abby starts waking up, she will be able to go home.

Ashlee asked to keep it (much to Abby’s teenage chagrin). It sure tells a story, though. 2 years this lived inside Ab’s body. It highlights the physical scars - the stabs, pokes, and treatments Abby has been through during this journey. Reminds us of the rest that we can’t see too. It is just a little thing in a cup now… but it sure serves as a good symbol of all our girl has been through.

What a warrior! What an inspiration.

Abby has her port removal surgery today. It should start around 8 am and last about an hour. Everyone please send prayers and good vibes up that all goes well. We’ll keep you updated!

Today was long awaited and beautiful to witness! Abs has been an absolute warrior and beaten the beast. So many lasts today, thankfully. We tried to document it all, in between reminiscing how far she has come! She rang her bell with so many surrounding her - no dry eyes to be found.

Words can’t express how much everyone attending today or supporting from afar means to us. You all were so needed and important in this journey.

It has been a while so it is time for an update, and it is a big one!

Abby was chosen by her local nurses at St. Francis to participate in the 2026 Aspen Winter Games put on by the Shining Stars Foundation. She was one of only 9 chosen from St. Francis Children’s Hospital! 🤯Each participant was able to choose a sport to train in as they prepared for their race at the end of the week. In between that excitement, they experienced all kinds of fun activities - making a once in a lifetime trip! 🤩 Enjoy the pictures captured and we’ll share the video they produced of it all in the comments (Abby is featured several times.)

Another HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT is that Abby had her last vincristine and IVIG on 3/30. This means she is almost DONE WITH TREATMENT so she will be ringing the bell in celebration on April 10th!!!!! 👏🥳👏🥳👏🥳 Her celebration is at St. Francis Children’s Hospital at 3 p.m. on the 10th if you’d like to join Abby as she rings the bell!

There are not enough words to explain how incredibly thankful we are for all of your support for Abigail along the way.

Abby was able to leave the hospital this afternoon! No fevers this time and no symptoms indicating complications during her 48 hospital stay. The doctors took labs before she was allowed to leave and her levels were just a bit elevated but nothing worrisome up to this point. 🙌🙌🙌

She has been started on a smaller dosage of Blina to help her body adjust at a slower pace. This means going in more often to get a bag change so her next visit will be Saturday. They will check her labs again. If her numbers are still good, they will make the adjustment to the regular dosage. If her labs have heightened once again, it will indicate her body can not handle this treatment and it will have to be stopped.

Please pray Abby’s body is able to accept this treatment! She is ready to get to the positive part of the Blina round, where she is feeling good and fully mobile. If you know our girl, you know how busy she is! Send all your good thoughts, prayers, and positivity to Ab as she takes the next steps in this process.

Please send all the positivity and prayers Abby’s way this morning! Yesterday her levels showed back within normal range so she is being admitted to the hospital to be put back on the Blina today.

They are going to give her a smaller dosage and see how her body handles it. We need her liver enzymes and everything to stay within normal ranges so that she can continue on the Blina. If there are any reactions or elevation in her labs they will have to stop it again. This time it will not be restarted and will be the end of that treatment for her.

Her body has been through so much and this is one of the last few pieces that is needed to help her body most. It is really important that she is able to receive Blina to completion!

Please pray for a successful 28 day treatment cycle for Abigail.

We need some prayers, friends. Per the normal pace of this journey - it will have you jumping in celebration one day and hitting your knees in prayer the next.

Today Abby did her first set of labs since starting the Blina. Unfortunately, it showed her liver enzymes were really elevated so she received a call from the doctor to go in and stop the Blina treatment immediately. Normal number for her liver is 22 and today she was at 417!

They took the Blina out and are giving her body some time to rest and reset. Abby will go back Monday to get labs re-run. If the liver is back to normal levels, they’ll admit her again for another try on the 2nd round of Blina. It would require another 48 hour hospital stay, minimum, while they monitor.

If levels have not returned to normal, they will stop the Blina. If it elevates again once it restarts…They will also stop the Blina.

This treatment is vital for her future. It trains her immune system to recognize cells are cancerous and to start fighting them, should anything reoccur. We need BIG PRAYERS that Abby’s body is able to handle this treatment. Please pray for her body, mind, and spirit as she takes this next step and waits on yet another answer.
