Our next workshop will be Saturday, 4/18/26 at Tulsa Artist Fellowship Flagship Studio and we continue connecting with leadership from Lowdown Season 2 with a panel featuring Mark Schwartzbard (director of photography), Chris Norr (director of photography) , Chris Geuken (first assistant camera), Genna Palermo (second assistant camera), camera operators Joe Hernandez (A camera, steady cam operator), Charles Elmore (B camera operator), Tyler Plant (key grip), Royce Sharp (sound mixer), Jake Basnett (gafffer), Steve Mathis (gafffer) and Andromeda Johnson (loader) moderated by Dylan Brodie, Tulsa-based producer and Oklahoma Icon. Picture’s Up is a FREE workshop series where you’ll learn directly from the department heads and key crew behind Lowdown currently shooting right here in . Every Saturday, a different department takes the spotlight. Hands-on experience. Real career insight. Direct access to the people building Tulsa’s creative economy. Kick off: Saturday, March 28 noon - 3 PM. Meet the Lowdown team — production design, costume, sound, set dec, casting, and more — in a live panel moderated by TFC co-founders

Mark your calendars — something big is coming to Tulsa.
Picture’s Up is kicking off Saturday, March 28 and we can’t wait to tell you everything. Full details drop Monday, tickets open early next week — but trust us, you’ll want to save the date now.

The Tulsa Film Collective and TU Film Studies cohost “The Art of Collaboration with
Team Deakins” on Wednesday, February 25 at the Lorton Performing Arts Center from 4 to 7 PM.
Presented by the Hulett Collection, this event is open to the public. This conversation with .deakins
— married creative partners Roger Deakins, ASC, BSC and James Ellis Deakins - will center around their
legacy of collaboration and the release of Roger’s book, Reflections on Cinematography and will cover
lessons and triumphs from the Academy Award- winning cinematographer’s iconic career that includes
his work on Thunderheart, O Brother, The Big Lebowski, No Country for Old Men, Rango, Blade Runner 2049 and 1917.
deakins unique approach to the
craft of cinematography will resonate with our local film loving community - whether student, aspiring
filmmaker or established professional - who share a passion for cinema.

This event is a part of a larger tour in Tulsa presented by that includes a book signing , as well as an exhibition
of new photographs by Roger Deakins titled Still Light, with artist reception and public art opening on
Saturday, February 28 from 6-8 PM, as well as a screening of O Brother, Where Art Thou? . This cultural moment extends throughout Tulsa celebrating cinema,
art and community.

Announcing our FINAL two workshops in our Picture's Up workshop series. As we continue working around an active production, we've decided to bring our programming to a close. The sessions planned for May 10 & 17 are now canceled due to a major on-set shoot.

We’ll be wrapping up this incredible series with two final workshops:
📅 April 27 – Grip & Lighting
📅 May 4 – Film Production

Thank you to everyone who’s spent their Saturdays with us — and to the cast & crew of Sterlin Harjo’s latest production for generously sharing their time and talent. We’re beyond grateful, and we’re just getting started. We will continue to work around production schedules and may announce additional sessions as talent availability allows.
