After witnessing his long-time friend start a Street Soccer USA program in Dallas, program founder, Brian Majka, was inspired to start a program in Tulsa. In the summer of 2011, non-profit youth service provider, Youth Services of Tulsa, partnered with Street Soccer USA to found Street Soccer Tulsa. Street Soccer Tulsa just returned from their second trip to the National Cup in New York City. Very strong relationships have been formed with the team players and coaches. The coaches are proud of their team members for their dedication to the program and for the huge improvements they are seeing from their players, both on and off the field. In 2012, Tony Ewing was selected for the national team to represent USA and Tulsa in the Homeless World Cup. He was a proud member of the team that played in Mexico City. This summer our team member, Scott Gray, has been selected for the national team and he will be playing for the USA in Poland in August. Street Soccer Tulsa currently practices at Veteran's Park in Tulsa on Friday afternoons at 1:30. The team participates in a recreational league throughout the year to prepare for the Street Soccet USA Cup.
