Last night, we connected with our community and network during a discussion centered on education policies and how they move from the capitol to classrooms.

Special thanks to Whitney Cipolla, MPA (Greater Tulsa ‘17) who facilitated the conversation and shared from her experience and leadership, about the legislative process, resources to follow and interpret education legislation, and opportunities to apply our learnings in service of improving outcomes for all students.

We look forward to building upon the conversation and continuing to work with our educators, schools and communities in service of providing all students an excellent education.

Last week we hosted Rise and Shine, an educational leadership breakfast, that brought together over 80 educators, students, alumni, and civic leaders from our community to reflect on what's working and what it will take to continue to strengthen outcomes for students across Greater Tulsa.

It was inspiring to hear from members of our network on what is possible for our students and broader community through our organization’s impact, programs, and partnerships. Special thanks to our speakers, featuring:

Our network of over 330 alumni across Greater Tulsa continue to work toward our mission of ensuring all students have access to an excellent education as they lead in classrooms, community organizations, courtrooms, and more.

On Friday, we partnered with The University of Tulsa to host, “Lead the Future of Education,” an event for student leaders with the vision and drive to help write the next chapter of Oklahoma’s education story.

Special thanks to FOX23 News for joining us and sharing more about our work, all the TU students who engaged with us, and interim President Rick Dickson for attending and sharing how he's seen Teach For America's network create meaningful outcomes with students and families.

Together we can build a future where every child in Oklahoma has the opportunity to succeed.
